Terms of Use

Verba is operated by Amino Industries LLC ("Amino", "we"). By downloading or using Verba you agree to these terms.
1. License
You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Verba on Apple devices you own or control, per the App Store Terms and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
2. Purchases
Verba is free to use. The only purchases are word packs — numbered editions that permanently unlock more words in a language. Each edition is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase, NOT a subscription: there is no auto-renewal, no free trial, and nothing is charged on a recurring basis. Because editions are non-consumable, they stay attached to your Apple ID: if you reinstall Verba or set up a new device, "Restore purchases" in Profile brings them back at no further cost, whether or not you use iCloud. Several editions are available per language and may be bought over time; each one is charged once and each unlocks its own words. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Amino issues no refunds directly; refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store policies, and an edition refunded by Apple is removed from your account.
3. Content
Verba's definitions, examples, and notes are educational reference material provided as-is. We work hard on accuracy but do not warrant it.
4. Intellectual property
The app, its content, design, and branding belong to Amino or its licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the word corpus.
5. Acceptable use
Don't reverse-engineer, exploit, or interfere with the app.
6. Termination
We may suspend the license if you breach these terms. You can stop using Verba anytime by deleting the app.
7. Disclaimers
Verba is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amino is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the past 12 months.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means acceptance; material changes will be noted in the app.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Verba's word data is built with the help of open resources. It incorporates material from WordNet (Princeton University; used under the WordNet License — see wordnet.princeton.edu) and pronunciations derived from the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary (Carnegie Mellon University; used under its BSD-style license). Definitions, example sentences, and notes are Verba's own editorial work. These institutions do not endorse Verba.
